The British Retail Consortium (BRC) have recently reported a warning from the Home Secretary of significant increases in crime brought about as a result of the economic downturn. Based on the last recession of 1991-92, Jacqui Smith MP warned that violent crime was set to grow at a rate of 19 per cent, while theft and burglaries could rise by up to 9 per cent 2008 – 2009. To help HTA members prepare for the government’s predicted increase in Crime, B2B are offering free, no obligation security consultations to HTA Members. B2B will review members’ existing customer theft and burglary measures and will make recommendations on how best to protect your business using the latest Remote Monitored CCTV Systems and new virtually invisible Security Tags.

Super Plexi-glass Wide Aisle Detection
As part of a major investment in product development, B2B announce the launch of their latest security tagging system, Certus Super Plexi-glass System.
The Certus Super Plexi-glass System is the latest in their range of security tagging systems that provides the retailer with the full flexibility of extremely small security labels. It has been designed specifically to meet the needs of those retailers with wide double doorways, who wish to utilise B2B's tiny, discrete security labels.
Security Tagging Systems are a key tool to prevent theft and give retailers a direct boost to their business profitability from day one of use. A highly visual deterrent, a Tagging System is the thief's worst enemy. "No matter how clever they are at hiding your goods in their pockets and bags or how proficient they can be at distracting you whilst their team mate pinches from you, they still need to run the gauntlet of the tagging system which will alarm when they leave the store with unpaid for goods". Jeremy Davies, B2B Marketing Director.
The system works by identifying tagged products as the thief attempts to leave the shop and alerts shop staff by instantly activating an audible and visual alarm. For the legitimate customer, the security tag is deactivated at the point-of-sale as a transparent part of the purchase process.
Protecting stock with small and often invisible security labels prevents thieves from even thinking about stealing. The result is a healthy boost to the bottom line profit and staff can concentrate on selling to customers and not the role of a store detective!
B to B Links Ltd is the UK leading supplier of Electro-Magnetic Security Tagging Systems and are dedicated to assisting retailers to reduce levels of stock loss associated with theft.
